Designed in DTL (Diode-Transistor Logic) technology, it was the first fully transistor commercial computer in the world, an absolutely avant-garde system in all respects: the logic-systems conception, the construction technology and the design (more info: https : //www.lswn.it/tecnologie/elea-9003-02-il-secondo-esemplare-della-serie/)

From an external point of view, the computer was made up of compact modules, “on a human scale”, very different from the usual large cabinets that reached the ceiling. The wiring between the different modules was also innovative: the passage of the cable bundles, rather than under the floor, took place in elegant overhead ducts, made with specially designed busways. The project, whose aesthetic profile was curated by Ettore Sottsass.
